BASA

Worked as an Asst. Research Officer at Manpower Planning Center, Ministry of Labour & Manpower from 1982-1984.Worked as an Officer at Agrani Bank in 1984 for One year. Worked as an Executive Director of BASA from 1991 to 1997 as honorary basis and from 1998 worked in different projects of BASA as coordinator and retired voluntarily from service in 2009.

Working as Executive Director at BASA since 1998. As a Chief Executive responsible for overall management including Strategic planning, Personal management, Coordination of development and Micro finance program. Previously worked as a Faculty Member at BIBM-Bangladesh and responsible for conduction of training and research. And also worked as a Planner and General Manager at Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation and responsible for Personal Management and Planning and monitoring and implementation.

-> He is the founder Executive Director of BASA Foundation which is not for profit organization established in 1991 to serve the socio-economically backward and vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.

Under his proper guidance, BASA is working in the fields of sustainable development, poverty alleviation and empowerment of the poor (particularly women) through the provision of micro-finance services supported by a wide array of other development programmes in 18 districts.

As an Executive Director, he works closely with Executive Committee to develop and implement a long-term strategic plan, oversee the management of all operations including program implementation, program monitoring and reporting, human resources, and financials.

He also leads in the fields of Water, Sanitation, Disaster Management, Agriculture, Health and Nutrition, Credit Management etc funded by GIZ, ADB, World Bank, PKSF, Water Aid, IPAS(USA)Ministry of Social Welfare and so on.

-> He was the chief of planning of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) (public corporation) from 1980 to 1998

-> He was a Faculty Member of BIBM (Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management) from 1975 to 1979

->He was the director of Asia Continent on behalf of urban development global project, Dutch Government Alliance

->He is a member of many national and international organizations including Credit and Development Forum (CDF), International Network of Alternative Financial Services (INAFI), Bangladesh WASH Alliance (BWA), Asia Crime Prevention Foundation (ACPF), International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), The international Association of Anti-corruption Authorities ( IAACA) and also a Vice Chairman of Palli Mongol Karmosuchi (PMK).

Joined Sonali Bank as an Officer in 1st June, 1981 and Retired as a Deputy General Manager from Sonali Bank. Currently a member of Sonali Bank Retired Executive Forum as an Organizational Secretary and also Finance Secretary of Freedom Fighter Association
