BASA Foundation is a non-governmental,non-political, non-profitable, non-political development organization established in 1991 with the objective to empower the distressed, underprivileged; especially the deprived and vulnerable people and to improve their quality of life. Accordingly, organization emphasizes on non-directive, bottom up and people’s participatory development approach and working strategy. Since its inception organization focused on capacity building through training, providing basic education, poverty alleviation through micro credit operation, food security, water & sanitation, health & hygiene promotion, addressing environment & climate change issues for sustainable development. Over the years of its operations, BASA Foundation also established working relationship with various government agencies and international partners through its outstanding performance. After years of development actions, the programmes are now in operation in 20 districts convening various reverence areas os Bangladesh including hill districts sandy clits, plain land etc. These programmes include more than 100000 primary beneficiaries. BASA Foundation maintains it’s Head Office in Dhaka while seventy (70) local offices spread across the Upazillas and Villages of working areas. Over 550 dedicated and committed staff are currently working in the Head and Branch Offices. Bangladesh Association for Social Advancement (BASA Foundation) aspires for a society free from poverty, oppression and deprivation through self-actualization and resource mobilization where every individual will be able to live in peace and communal harmony by enjoying the rightful share of the resources belonging to the society.
