Maternity Allowance (MA) programme was introduced to provide financial assistance to poor pregnant women in rural Bangladesh in order to improve health and nutritional condition of both the mother and the baby. BASA Foundation is implementing this program since 2008.
Under this program BASA Foundation is focusing on to build the income –earning capacities of destitute women and to socially empower them through awareness raising and training on variety of Income Generating Activities along with provision of credit pre and post natal care including basic health, nutrition and hygiene issues, education, family planning, disaster management, demerits of dowry, early marriage and gender inequality. Create linkage with health Service providers for EPI,ANC and PNC.
Under this programme 1111 beneficiaries have been covered.
